Yahoo to proceed with Alibaba spinoff as planned

(Reuters) - Yahoo Inc said it would proceed with the planned spinoff of its stake in Alibaba Group Holding Ltd regardless of a favorable ruling from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
