Shaken by cyber theft, Japan's regulator conducts spot inspection on Coincheck

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's financial regulator conducted a spot inspection on Coincheck Inc on Friday to protect users, Finance Minister Taro Aso said, as authorities tried to pin down how hackers stole $530 million of digital money from the Tokyo-based cryptocurrency exchange.
